T.J. Pufahl (Bethpage, NY) led the Mount with 10 kills and also posted a pair of total blocks.
David Guerrero (East Meadow, NY) finished seven winners for the Mount on Thursday, while Fitzroy Lawson (Kingston, Jamaica) and John Furka (Massapequa, NY) each total four kills each. Junior Chris Dotoratos (Bronx, NY) finished the night with three kills and an assist.
Freshman Mike Quinn (Wantagh, NY) also had as strong night as he led the team in assists with 24 and contributed a pair of defensive digs. Guerrero led the team digs with five on the night and in service aces with three, while Lawson joined Pufahl with two total blocks.
Pablo Oliveira led Hunter with a game-high 19 kills and hit .704 in the match. Zacarias Ripoll posted a game-high 34 assists, while Marcin Polak picked up six digs.
The Mount falls to 1-1 overall on the season with the loss. The Dolphins will be back in action in their home opener on Monday, January 21 against CCNY. The match is set for 7:00 p.m. at Hayes Gymnasium.
