ME/Mount Blue HS) registered 15 kills apiece and each notched a double-double, but the Mount Saint Vincent Men's Volleyball team lost its second straight match, 3-1 to Ramapo College during a match played at Mount Saint Vincent. With the loss, the Mount is now 8-13 overall and 3-6 in NECVA Metro play.
Ramapo won the opening game 30-22 before Mount Saint Vincent rebounded for a 30-28 win during the second game. The Roadrunners (18-10, 7-3 NECVA Metro) won the third game 30-21 before a thriller of a fourth game led to the match's conclusion. Mount Saint Vincent grabbed a nine-point lead during the four game and it appeared that a fifth and deciding game was imminent. However, Ramapo went on a 10-0 run, regained the lead, and held out for a 30-26 win and the match.
Williams and Ross were both outstanding as each hit .171 while Williams registered 22 digs and Ross had 13. Also for the Mount, sophomore Chris Dotoratos (Bronx, NY/Salesian) had 40 assists to break the 40-assist mark for the second straight match and seventh time this season. Fellow sophomore T.J. Pufahl (Bethpage, NY/Bethpage HS) also had a solid match as he had 12 kills.
Overall, Mount Saint Vincent hit .210 and had seven team blocks and 73 total digs.
Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Thursday, March 8 when they travel to CCNY for a 6:00 p.m. match.
