Megan Gonzalez (Fishers, Ind.) fired a one hitter in the second contest.
The Dolphins combined for 20 hits over the two games, including 11 in the game one win. In the opener, four Dolphins finished with at least two hits with Katie Shea (Flushing, N.Y.) going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two runs scored and an RBI. Marni O'Shea also doubled and went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored and her five RBI.
Karissa Koerner (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and Victoria Baldini (Yonkers, N.Y.) also finished with two hits a piece with each also scoring two runs in the game. Kelly Donlon (Carmel, N.Y.) did not record a hit in the contest but drove in a pair of runs for the Dolphins.
Shea got more then enough run support from the offense as she picked up her third win of the season and moved to 3-0 on the season in the circle. She went 5.0 innings and allowed only one earned run, three overall.
In game two Gonzalez completely shut down the Eagles to pick up her fourth win of the season. She went 5.0 innings in the second mercy rule game of the day and fanned six. She allowed only one walk and a two out double in the fourth inning. She also scored a run and drove in two at the plate in game two.
Lisa O'Shea (White Plains, N.Y.) and Marni O'Shea each finished with two hits in game two with each picking up a double. Marni O'Shea scored two more runs for the Dolphins as each player is hitting .407 on the season. Nora Chivelly (Suffern, N.Y.) also joined the game two offensive attack with two RBI for the Mount as eight different players crossed the plate in the game.
The sweep gives Mount Saint Vincent its third straight win and pushes it to 7-15 overall on the season. The Dolphins will be back in action again on Thursday for another non-conference set when they host NJCU. First pitch at Fay Field in Yonkers is set for 4:00 p.m.
