Megan Gonzalez (Fishers, IN) had a strong day for the Mount, as she won both games and struck out 17 total batters.
Lisa O'Shea (White Plains, NY) finished the afternoon with four RBI, including a three-run home run in game two.
Mount Saint Vincent recorded just four hits in the opener, but drew seven walks to help push across its 12 runs. Dana McGuire (East Setauket, NY) and Nina Pagani (Yonkers, NY) led the squad with a pair of runs batted in each.
Gonzalez went the distance in the win, throwing 5.0 innings and allowing just one hit, a triple in the third inning. She walked one batter and fanned 10 in moving her record to 2-4 on the season.
In game two, the Dolphins sent 15 batters to the plate in the first inning, with the first 12 coming across to score. Nora Chivelly (Suffern, NY) knocked in a pair with a bases loaded single in the frame and that was followed by O'Shea's three-run homer to deep center.
O'Shea led the squad with four RBI, while Chivelly, Karissa Koerner (Bay Shore, NY) and Jaclyn Ruggiero (New York, NY) each finished the contest with a pair of RBI for the Dolphins.
Lehman would get a pair of runs in the fourth inning on a two-run double from Rubie Cruz. The inning started with the first two runners of the inning reaching on an error in infield single, before Cruz ran a ball up the right centerfield gap to clear the bases.
Gonzalez was again dominate in the win, as she fired another 5.0 and allowed just three hits. Gonzalez did not walk a batter and struck out seven to give her a two game total of 17.
The sweep moves the Mount to 3-5 overall on the season and gives it three straight wins. The Dolphins will be back in action again on Wednesday against Medgar Evers at Fay Field in Yonkers. First pitch for the doubleheader is set for 3:30 p.m.
