J.R. Downey (Highland Falls, NY) scored the Mount Saint Vincent goal in the second half.
Old Westbury jumped out to 5-0 lead at halftime on the strength of a hat trick from Fabian Santibanez. Justin Leakey scored the other two goals in the opening period for the Panthers.
Downey got the Mount on the board in the 66th minute with his third marker of the season. Senior Joe Machado (Yonkers, NY) found Downey and sent him on the breakaway for the only goal of the second half.
Senior net minder Billy Raftery (Bronx, NY) made seven saves in the contest for the Dolphins, while his counterpart Darian Bryan made a pair of stops for Old Westbury.
For the game, Old Westbury held the edge shots 21-8 and in corner kicks 8-2. Fouls in the contest were whistled 3-2 against the visiting Dolphins.
The loss drops Mount Saint Vincent's overall record to 2-15 and its mark in the Skyline Conference to 2-6. The Dolphins will close out the regular season on Saturday when they host Maritime. The contest is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Purchase.
