The Ducks put the game away early, scoring multiple runs in their first five at bats. Stevens opened the game with five tallies in the first inning and then six in the fifth. The only frame Stevens did not score in on the night was the sixth.
Mount Saint Vincent allowed 26 hits on the night and Stevens had eight players with at least two safeties. The Ducks had 11 extra base hits on the night, including five home runs off of Dolphins pitching.
Anthony Mongelli (Flushing, N.Y) was saddled with the loss after allowing 10 earned runs on eight hits in 2.1 innings of work. Four Stevens' pitchers combined on the three hitter with Chris Tucci earning the win.
The loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 9-13 overall on the season. The Dolphins will look to rebound on Thursday afternoon when they travel to John Jay. First pitch for the non-league contest is set for 3:30 p.m.
