Mount Saint Vincent used a run in the second and two runs in the third to jump out to a 3-2 lead over the Roadrunners early on in the game. The Dolphins first run was driven in by Nick Canzano (Farmington, NY) who shot a single to right bringing home Josh Cuozzo (Westbury, NY) with the game's first run.

After Ramapo plated two runs in the home half of the second, the Mount responded with two of its own to go back on top by a run. After Logan Mauzy (Homer, NY) singled and Joe Blackford (Stewartsville, NJ) walked to start the inning, Schor drove them both home with one out in the frame on his 12th double of the season to put the Dolphins back on top.

The lead would hold until the bottom of the fifth when Ramapo knotted the score at 3-3, taking advantage of a pair of Mount Saint Vincent errors. Nick Sbarra scored the equalizer with two outs on a passed ball. The eventual winning run would be plated in the seventh when Jairo Jimenez drove home Sbarra with a two out infield single.

The Dolphins could only scratch out five hits off of Roadrunner starter Jack McDonough on Wednesday. McDonough fired a complete game and allowed just the three runs, while striking out 11 and walking just one.

Eddie Park (East Meadow, NY) collected a hit and Mauzy went 1-4 with a run scored for the Mount. Schor, Tanner Munroe (Milford, CT) and Canzano were the only other players to record a hit on the afternoon for the Dolphins. Cuozzo and Blackford scored the other two runs for the Mount.

Ricky Garcia (Garden City, NY) worked the final 0.2 innings in relief and did not allow a hit. He inherited two runners in the eighth and did not allow either to score.

The loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 0-1 in the double-elimination tournament and to 23-16 overall on the season. The Dolphins will take on the loser of the Ramapo and Richard Stockton game being played at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in Pomona, NJ.
