the Skyline Conference Tournament on Sunday afternoon, but was downed in the second game by Farmingdale State for the Skyline Championship. The Dolphins forced the second game with a 1-0 win in the game one, but were downed by the Rams 8-4 in the second game. Senior Eddie Park (East Meadow, NY) drove in the game winner after being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

Needing a win to stay alive in the tournament, the Mount got a strong pitching performance from Jon O'Leary (Bohemia, NY). He fired a complete game and did not allow a run on eight hits. He struck out two and walked a pair in the win. Sunday was his second victory of the tournament, as he won the opener against Polytechnic on Wednesday.

With the game scoreless in the seventh inning, Mount Saint Vincent loaded the bases with nobody out. After back-to-back strikeouts from Farmingdale reliever Tom Heeman, Park took the first offering of his at-bat off the shoulder to drive in the only run of the game.

Tanner Munroe (Milford, CT) continued his strong play for the Mount in the opener, going 3-3 in the contest. He was the only player on the Mount squad to record more than one hit in the game, with Park supplying the only RBI and Al Schor (Norwalk, CT) scoring the only run.

After Farmingdale State jumped on top 1-0 in the first in game two, the Dolphins responded with two runs in the top half of the second to take a 2-1 lead. Zach Munroe (Milford, CT) led off the frame with an infield single and then Schor put runners on second and third with no outs with a double to left. Tanner Munroe drove in one run with a single up the middle, before Josh Cuozzo (Westbury, NY) put the Mount on top with an infield groundball that turned into an error.

The one run lead would hold until the fifth inning, when the Rams knotted the sore a 2-2. Farmingdale had a runner on a one out when Luis Feliciano reached on a fielder's choice and advanced to third on a throwing error. He would later score on a wild pitch.

Farmingdale secured the win with four runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh to earn the school's first ever Skyline Baseball Championship. After falling behind 6-2 after the sixth inning, Mount Saint Vincent got two runs back in the seventh on an infield single from Nick Canzano (Farmington, NY) and single to right from Joe Blackford (Stewartsville, NJ). Two runs would be as close as the Mount would get the rest of the afternoon, as the Rams tallied twice in the home half of the frame to earn the win.

Blackford, Schor and Tanner Munroe all recorded two hits in the contest for the Dolphins. Cuozzo, John McManus (Bayside, NY), Zach Munroe and Schor scored the Mount Saint Vincent runs.

Mike Trainor (Patterson, NY) took the loss in relief for the Mount. He word 0.1 innings and allowed three runs on three hits. He struck out one batter and did not walk anyone.

The split on Saturday moves Mount Saint Vincent's record to 23-15 overall on the season. The Dolphins will learn Monday if they receive a bid to the ECAC Division III Regional Tournament.
