Joseph Chojnacki

The University of Mount Saint Vincent’s Department of Athletics announced Joseph Chojnacki as its leader of the women’s volleyball program beginning in the Fall of 2024. 

Chojnacki completed his second season with the Dolphins in 2025 with a 9-16 overall record and a 3-8 mark against the conference, giving him14 total wins and five conference victories throughout his tenure. 
 
Chojnacki makes his way to Riverdale after a four-year stint at Division-I Saint Peter’s University, where he served as the head coach of the women’s volleyball program from 2019 through their 2022 campaign. Chojnacki found success both on and off the floor for the during a stretch that included limiting playing time due to the coronavirus pandemic, as the Peacocks had a total of 33 players named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference’s All Academic team.
 
Chojnacki’s D-I experience spans beyond Jersey City. He served on Fordham University’s women’s volleyball staff for the 2006 season and reprised his role at St. John’s University from 2015 through 2017.
 
Chojnacki was also promoted to head coach at Division-II Adelphi University from 2003 until 2006 after a two-year stint as an assistant coach for the Panthers in the previous two seasons.
 
Chojnacki is now tasked with overtaking a Dolphins team that is looking to return to prominence within the Skyline Conference. UMSV is noted as one of the premiere teams within the conference over the last decade, with the program earning two Skyline titles in both 2015 and 2018, as well as earning a playoff berth in seven of their last nine seasons.
 
Chojnacki currently works for CNN as a studio operator and resides in Rockville Centre, New York with his wife Jean
