Kelci Hegg

Entering her third season at UMSV, Kelci Hegg is a seasoned college soccer coach and player development leader with a proven track record across NCAA and elite youth environments. A standout forward at Vanderbilt University from 2002–06, Hegg capped her collegiate career as the Commodores’ leading scorer as a senior and remains in Vanderbilt’s record books for most goals scored in a single match, netting five against Francis Marion. She went on to compete for five seasons in the USL W-League with the New York Magic (2008–2013), serving as team captain and bringing a professional standard to training and match-day performance including Defensive Player of the Week Honors against Washington Spirit.

A North Carolina native and the 2002 NC Gatorade Player of the Year, Hegg later spent eight seasons as Head Women’s Soccer Coach at NCAA Division II Concordia College (NY), guiding the program through competitive conference play while mentoring student-athletes on and off the field. Since 2020, she has served as Director of Coaching for Westchester Rush, overseeing club-wide curriculum, coach education, and player pathways aligned with collegiate recruitment standards. Hegg currently holds a USSF C License and earned master’s degrees in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine and in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Seton Hall University. Hegg continues to impact the women’s game by developing resilient, intelligent players and cohesive staffs.
