Kevin Carbon enters his fifth season at the helm of the Dolphins softball program beginning in the 2026-27 academic school year. Carbon took over the team in 2022 and has was promoted to assistant athletic director in 2024.
Carbon has impressed over his first four seasons with the Dolphins. He's led the team to the Skyline Conference Postseason Tournament each of his four campaigns while sporting a combined record of 67-87, with a conference mark of 33-38.
Carbon made his way to Riverdale as a familiar face. The Carmel, New York native joined the coaching staff of Skyline Conference rival Sarah Lawrence College in 2014, where he worked as an assistant coach and specialized in working with pitchers and catchers, as well as recruiting, strength and conditioning and player development. Carbon was promoted to head coach of the Gryphons in February of 2019, leading the team to a 7-9 conference record, en route to the program's first appearance in the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament.
In addition to his duties as head coach at UMSV, Carbon also serves as a home inspector, as well as working for Major League Baseball.
Carbon graduated from Mitchell College in 2013, where he was a four year member of the baseball program while also graduating Cum Laude.
