Men's soccer head coach Kyle Hagenburger is starting his third season at the helm of the program. While the 2020 regular season was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Coach Hagenburger and his staff are currently preparing their team for future contests.
Coach Hagenburger saw improvements from year one (3-15, 1-9 Conference record) to year two (4-11-2, 3-6-2 Conference record) over his two years with the team. Coach Hagenburger has seen a number of his athletes reach individual accolades, including an All-Conference recipient and Conference Rookie of the Year winner.
Coach Hagenburger has an extensive resume coaching across various levels of both men's and women's soccer. His most recent stint came as an assistant coach for the Menlo College women's program in Menlo Park, California, where he also served as a scout and recruiter. Before Menlo College, Coach Hagenburger was an assistant coach for both the men's and women's prorgram's at San Diego Christian College, as well as the men's assistant coach for Southwestern Community College in Chula Vista, California. During his time at SCC, Coach Hagenburger helped lead his team to a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Championship in 2013.
Coach Hagenburger has also spent time leading various club and high school teams in the California area as well. On the club circuit, he's been a part of the Palo Alto Soccer Club, San Diego United Futbol Club, Alpine Strikers, Albion Soccer Club and Crusarders Soccer Club, with job titles including Staff Coach, College Placement Director and Director of Coaching. At the high school level, Coach Hagenburger created the soccer program at King Chavez Community High School, was the head varsity coach for Crawford High School and was an assistant varsity coach and head junior varsity coach at Saint Augustine High School.
