Wayne, NJ - The University of Mount Saint Vincent dropped a 6-1 decision to William Paterson University Wednesday evening in the team's second showdown of the 2026 season.
The Dolphins' lone point came at No. 4 singles, where Zoe Fields battled to a 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) victory. Fields rallied from a tight second set to force the tiebreaker before closing out the match.
In doubles action, Alyssa Mendoza and Divana Carrillo competed at No. 1, while Fields and Kayla Wallack teamed at No. 2. Kaitlyn Mendez and Jadamarie Henry rounded out the lineup at No. 3 doubles.
Mendoza and Carrillo also competed at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. Mendez played at No. 3, Wallack at No. 5 and Henry at No. 6.
Mount Saint Vincent moves to 0-2 on the season, and will now set their sights on Skyline Conference competition. They're set to compete against Sarah Lawrence College on Saturday.
