Dolphins Fall In Non-Conference Action Against Drew

Madison, NJ - After a major conference sweep over Farmingdale on Sunday, the University of Mount Saint Vincent took a break from Skyline play to challenge Drew University in a single on Tuesday evening. The Dolphins struggled to replicate their offensive success from over the weekend, falling to the Rangers by the score of 7-1.

The end result pushed the Dolphins to 6-12 on the season.

UMSV only had five hits across nine innings, but it furthered the success of three different talents. Zach Turko went 2-for-3 with a walk, upping his average to .345 and on-base percentage to .486 in 17 games this season. John Anthony Spanoudakis drove in the lone run for the Dolphins with an eighth inning single, giving him 11 RBI, good for fourth on the team. Both Andrew Farina and Andrew Farina each registered a hit as well.

Keyon Canela earned the start for the Dolphins and pitched admirably, as he didn't allow an earned run while striking out four across four frames.

UMSV is set to kick off April on the road in another non-conference showdown, this time against Vassar.
