Dolphins Drop Third Straight To Open Season

Reading, PA - The University of Mount Saint Vincent was back on the road this weekend, traveling to Pennsylvania with their sights set on win number one of the 2026 campaign. Unfortunately for the Dolphins, Albright College stood in the way and left winners, defeating UMSV by the score of 22-3. The Dolphins dropped to 0-3 to start their season.

Senior Ella Meberg continued to be the driving force behind the Dolphins offense. Meberg recorded a hat trick on Saturday afternoon, giving her 11 goals thus far. Sophomore Isabelle Gurley helped initiate Meberg's chances, collecting two assists while also adding five ground balls, three draw controls and a pair of caused turmovers. Goalkeeper Makenna Reekie not only recorded 17 saves in the contest, but also led the charge with eight ground balls while tying Gurley in caused turnovers.

The Dolphins kick off Skyline Conference play next week, opening their second half slate with a road matchup against Manhattanville.
