Riverdale, NY - The University of Mount Saint Vincent has taken home court advantage in a literal sense. The Dolphins competed in their fourth straight game in the Sharp Center and extended their win streak to three, this time taking down Old Westbury by the score of 68-53. 

The victory improved UMSV's overall record to 5-14 while upping their conference mark to 3-11. 

Grace Kennedy emerged as the top scorer for the Dolphins. The sophomore was the lone UMSV student-athlete to score in double digits with 18 points, and added four assists, two rebounds and two steals in the process. Angelina Escobinas and Nailea Green each finished with nine points, with Escobinas impressing in the passing game (five assists) while Green dominated the boards (nine rebounds). Michaela Ligon, too, had a dominant night in the paint, with a game best 12 boards to go along with eight points on 50% shooting. 

Senior Kyla McLean had a three steal, three assist, two rebound night, and Julia Angeles and Ashley Marrocco had seven points apiece. 

Despite a chippy performance by the Panthers, the Dolphins remained on top for the entirety of the contest. Kennedy and Green closed out the contest in a major way, with Kennedy scoring six of her points in the final four minutes, while Green converted a pair of free throw attempts to give her team a double digit lead for good. 

UMSV's 46% shooting percentage across the second half was a driving force beind the victory. The team also forced 32 turnovers with 16 steals. 

 The Dolphins will head to Brooklyn on Saturday to challenge St. Joseph's University with the hopes of keeping their win streak in tact.
