Bethlehem, PA - The University of Mount Saint Vincent returned to action for the first time since their opening night loss, this time taking a road trip to Pennsylvania to take on Moravian University. It was the Greyhounds who got the better of the showdown, defeating the Dolphins by the score of 17-2.
UMSV is now 0-2 to kick off their 2026 season.
The Dolphins two goals of the afternoon came in the first and fourth, respectively. Defenseman
Walker Moore got his team on the board for the first time in the game, bringing the score to 2-1 when he converted the shot attempt off a strong pass from
Sam Hall, who added his sixth point of the season. Sophomore
Nigel Walker picked up his first strike of the season just under four minutes remaining to bring the score to 16-2.
While there were some struggles, the Dolphins found major success on the face-off dot. The team as a whole went 13-22, with junior
Alfred Lamptey winning eight in 12 chances. Freshman
Cal Denier and sophomore
Nathanial Simpson won 50% of their chances, with Simpson also pacing UMSV with five ground balls.
Gerald Haak was the lone Dolphin to cause a turnover while
Max Mills made 14 saves in net.
UMSV will return to the road on March 4 with their sights set on win number one against FDU-Florham.
