Farmingdale, NY - The University of Mount Saint Vincent held a two goal lead at the break, but a persistent Farmingdale offense led to a 2-2 draw at the conclusion of this weekend's Skyline Conference showdown.
Senior Lily Ostiguy and freshman Kiana Navarrete scored for the Dolphins in the opening half. Ostiguy opened the scoring in the 16th minute, finishing a cross from Navarette following a free kick, with Gisselle Soria also credited with an assist. Navarette doubled the advantage in the 33rd minute after Ariana Hernandez won possession and sent a pass forward for the goal.
UMSV carried its 2-0 lead into halftime, but Farmingdale State responded with goals in the 68th and 78th minutes to even the match.
Kaitlyn Grady made nine saves in goal for the Dolphins, who were outshot 19-7 but held on to secure a point in the conference standings.
