Dolphins Drop Road Contest To Brooklyn

Riverdale, NY - The University of Mount Saint Vincent continued their stretch of road games, this time taking on Brooklyn College after picking up their first win of the year over York College. It was the Bulldogs, however, who emerged winners, defeating the Dolphins in four sets (18-25, 21-25, 25-23, 14-15). The loss dropped UMSV's overall record to 1-2 through three game this season.

Jose Dominguez starred for the Dolphins offensively. The freshman registered 15 kills, the highest among all active players, while also adding a team-best 12 digs. Matthew Barrancos continued to do a little bit of everything for his team, as he put together an effort that featured 16 assists, seven digs, three kills and a pair of blocks.

Raeden Nieves and Terrence Short aided in the team's offensive effort, taking home seven and five kills, respectively. Christian Ferrer had his third consecutive double digit assist effort to kick off his collegiate career with 11. Tyler Hanna added five kills, two service aces and a block assist as well.

The Dolphins will look to get back on track next Thursday at home against CCNY.
