Dolphins Bested By Bears At Home

Riverdale, NY - The University of Mount Saint Vincent ran into a roadblock in the form of St. Joseph's University Brooklyn on Saturday. The Bears impressed throughout the contest against the Dolphins, walking away winners by the score of 99-73. The end result put UMSV at 2-15 overall this season, with a 1-7 record in Skyline action.

Eric Woodberry continued his trend of 20+ point games. The sophomore led the Dolphins with 24 points in the contest, upping his season average 19.4 points per contest. Woodberry also collected seven rebounds. Joel Gado was the go-to rebounder, with nine boards and 11 points on 50% shooting. Blake Salice Mitchell rounded out the unit with 13 points, seven rebounds and two assists of his own.

Despite shooting 40% from the floor across the second half, St. Joseph's Brooklyn shot over 70% themselves, making it a tough task for the Dolphins to overcome. To UMSV's credit, the bench unit battled until the final whistle.

The Dolphins turn their attention to Maritime. They'll head to Throggs Neck to challenge the Privateers on Wednesday.
