Madison, NJ - The University of Mount Saint Vincent returned to the court as they continued their season-opening road trip, this time traveling to New Jersey to challenge FDU-Florham. The Dolphins weren't able to pick up where they left off over the weekend, as they fell to the Devils on four sets (11-25, 25-23, 16-25, 11-25).
UMSV is now 1-2 in the early goings of their 2025 season.
Head coach Joe Chojnacki's recruiting class continued to show out for the Dolphins. Hitters
Anna Nolasco and
Sienna Martin were tied for the team lead in kills, joining junior
Dominique Otranto with five apiece. Freshman setter
Stephanie Rodriguez led the way with 11 assists while Nolasco (15) and Martin (14) were the lone Dolphins to reach double digit digs.
Junior captain
Olivia Dutzer added four kills and a block assist to her stat line while sophomore
Paige Staley added four assists.
UMSV will look to get back on track in yet another tri-match, this time challenging Mitchell College and Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Saturday.
