Mahwah, NJ - The University of Mount Saint Vincent participated in their sixth road match to kick off the season, this time playing in New Jersey against Ramapo College. It was a struggle for the Dolphins, as they lost in consecutive sets by the scores of 14-25, 19-25, 13-25 to bring their overall record to 1-5 to start their season.
Transfer junior
Alyssa Padgett was tops in kills for the Dolphins with five while also adding an assist. The first year duo of
Sienna Martin and
Anna Nolasco continued their strong starts to their UMSV careers, combining for eight kills (four apiece), five service aces and 14 digs.
Stephanie Rodriguez and
Paige Staley continued to split time at the setter position, with Rodriguez recording seven assists and Staley adding six of her own.
Dominique Otranto added three kills while also recording the lone block of the evening while
Jessica Broderick finished with three digs of her own.
The Dolphins return to the court on September 11, where they look to get back in the win column against Lehman.
