Langhorne, PA - The University of Mount Saint Vincent opened their 2025 season on the road on Saturday, taking on both Cairn University and Centenary University in a non-conference tri-match. The Dolphins dropped consecutive sets in match one against the Highlanders but went on to take a five set thriller against the Cyclones to end the day on a high note.
Head coach Joe Chojnacki's recruiting class impressed all afternoon for UMSV. The trio of
Sienna Martin,
Anna Nolasco and
Alyssa Padgett paced all Dolphins in the kills category in both games . Nolasco led the way in game one with seven while Padgett and Martin combined for nine. Martin, meanwhile, would have 14 kills against Centenary, with Nolasco (11) and Padgett (10) finishing with double digits as well.
Sophomore
Paige Staley had a 20-assist contest in the team's victory, with sophomore
Stephanie Rodriguez combining for 26 on the day. Padgett and junior
Dominique Otranto combined for 11 blocks while Nolasco added 33 digs.
The Dolphins will look to pick up where they left off on September 4 against FDU-Florham.
