Paulino Breaks Digs Record In Season Finale

Riverdale, NY - There is a new man atop the all time record book.

Fifth-year libero Felix Paulino capped off his career in a major way on Wednesday evening as the Bronx, New York native collected eight digs, making him the all time leader in that category in program history. Paulino was joined by fellow talents James Rose, Olatomiwa Ibitayo, Carlos Martinez and Danylo Szkafarowsky on Senior Night, with the five players competing in their final contest on the Peter Jay Sharp Center floor. The Dolphins emerged victorious on the night of celebrations as they defeated St. Joseph's University Brooklyn in the season finale in four sets (28-30, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20).

The senior hitting duo of Ibitayo and Rose shined in their last game for the Dolphins. Ibitayo led the way with 17 kills, good for a season-high, while Rose's 16 also was the best mark in 2025. Martinez also had a strong night with a team-best 15 digs while adding a pair of assists.

And on a night when the graduating class was honored, the future was on full display. Sophomore Yestro Luciano Jr. had a robust stat line with five kills, two and a half total blocks, two digs and a service ace. Freshmen Terrence Short and Yi Wang combined for 13 kills in the win as well.
