Erin Smith Named To Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Honor Roll

Riverdale, NY - The season may be long over, but Erin Smith's lone year with the Dolphins continues to be one for the ages.

The fifth year guard, who joined the University of Mount Saint Vincent's women's basketball team after spening her undergrad with Skyline rival Mount Saint Mary College, was named to the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association's Honor Roll for her efforts in the 2024-25 season. She's the first member of the Dolphins to be named to an All-Met selection since Christina Barone did so her in senior campaign back in 2017.

Smith started in all 25 regular season games for UMSV and led the team in scoring with 15.5 points per contest, a feat that also ranked second in the Skyline Conference. She also averaged 3.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 31% from beyond the arc. The Goshen, New York native scored 20 or more points in eight different games while leading the Dolphins to their second straight conference semifinal appearance. Smith was rewarded with First Team All-Skyline honors at the conclusion of the regular season.

Smith will also leave her mark in the program's record book. Her 418 total points and aforementioned 15.5 points per game average currently rank fifth and tied for sixth in single season school history.
