Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Dolphins Fall to Panthers in Overtime

Riverdale, NY - The Dolphins faced the Panthers of Purchase College Saturday afternoon in an exciting final game in the Sharp Center for the 2024-2025 season. It was a special day for seniors DJ Tucker, Kevin Agyemang, Adrian Rraci, Frank Camastro, Derrick Holley, and Brian Rawlings, who were honored for their basketball careers at Mount Saint Vincent prior to tip off. Unfortunately, the Dolphins fell short and would lose 68-65 in overtime.

UMSV set the tone early with a three pointer from Agyemang and a monster dunk from Tucker. The Panthers and Dolphins kept things close in the first half, exchanging baskets nearly every possession. Purchase would hit a big three with 22 seconds remaining, giving them a 34-28 lead going into halftime.

Back-to-back layups from freshmen duo Blake Salice-Mitchell and Eric Woodberry cut the Panthers' lead to two, creating great momentum for the Dolphins to start the second half. The visiting team answered, even seeing a 12-point lead, but the Dolphins did not let up. A three-point play from Agyemang tied things up with just under two minutes remaining. Both teams struggled to score in the final minutes forcing overtime, where the Panthers would come out on top.

Tucker certainly made his last home game a memorable one, finishing with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and a pair of steals. Agyemang, who has not played in a game since January 25th due to injury, also impressed. The senior put up 13 points and grabbed 5 steals. Woodberry finished with 9 points and 4 rebounds, while Chi added 7 points. Salice-Mitchell grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds.

The Dolphins will now gear up for the first round of the Skyline Conference playoffs on Tuesday.
