Riverdale, NY - The men's basketball team was back on their home court in the Sharp Center on Wednesday night for a showdown against the top-seeded Sarah Lawrence Gryphons. The momentum swung in the Dolphins' favor in the second half, but their early struggles proved to be too much to overcome and the Gryphons would come out on top 86-71.
Sarah Lawrence set the tone early, establishing an 8-1 lead and forcing a timeout from the Dolphins. UMSV responded with buckets from junior transfer

Frank Camastro, however the Gryphons answered with 8 consecutive points on their own. The Dolphins were able to pick up the scoring as Freshman
Eric Woodberry put up 6 straight points with just under two minutes to play.
The Dolphins entered the second half trailing 54-30, but stepped up their game on both ends of the court. With more defensive intensity and aggressive offense, UMSV was able to outscore the Gryphons 41-32 in the second half.
Woodberry led the Dolphins in scoring with 14 points, while also adding 4 rebounds and a pair of steals. Sophomore
Alex Chi finished the night with 10 points, two assists and two rebounds. DePina also put up 10 points in just eight minutes of action. Camastro was all over the box score with 9 points, 4 rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Freshman
Blake Salice-Mitchell had 6 points and 5 rebounds, while sophomore
Louis Vidal grabbed a team-high 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Coach
James Mooney saw multiple other Dolphins in the scoring column as

Adrian Rraci,
Seamus Basket,
Jack Hayward,
Derrick Holley, and
Elijah Benbow all had 3 points of their own.
The Dolphins will be back on their home court on Saturday and will honor their seniors before their last regular season game against Purchase College.
