Dolphins Win Stream Extends Eight With Defeat Of Farmingdale

Riverdale, NY - The Dolphins are off to their best start in over a decade.

The University of Mount Saint Vincent captured their eighth win in nine games this season while remaining unbeaten when they took down Farmingdale State College on Marillac Field on Saturday afternoon. The 3-0 victory extended the Dolphins record to 8-0-1 on the year, including a 4-0-1 mark against the Skyline.

It's the program's longest win streak since the 2013 season, when the Dolphins rattled off victories in the first nine games of the year.

Junior Jenluis Henriquez was the star of the show over the first 45 minutes of action. The Dominican native has impressed as of late, and that continued on Saturday when he accounted for the team's two first half goals. Henriquez was the beneficiary of terrific ball movement, with both William Sornin and Marti Senyer working the Rams defense before Senyer made a slick pass to a streaking Henriquez as the 38 minute mark. Henriquez was on the receiving end of another good pass attempt, with sophomore John Brienza receiving the assist after beating the defense down field to bring the score to 2-0.

The Dolphins defense matched the offense's success. The unit allowed six total shots all afternoon, including just a pair in the second half. The group of Trevor Pegg, Jose Gonzalez, Barry Jermaine Johnson and Sean Doyle, among others, did a terrific job limiting the Rams strikers. Samuel Reine continued the fantastic start to his season, as the sophomore completed his sixth shutout of 2025. The Hamburg, Germany native currently leads the Skyline in goals against average, saves and shutouts.

Two goals were enough to secure the win, but UMSV remained engaged offensively. A foul in the box set Javier Trujillo up for a penalty kick attempt, and the sophomore capitalized on the opportunity with his fifth goal of the year.

The Dolphins are set up for a tremendous showdown in Riverdale when they welcome St. Joseph's University Long Island to campus on Wednesday.
