Riverdale, NY - The University of Mount Saint Vincent was back on the Sharp Center floor and had an impressive showing in front of their home crowd.
The Dolphins welcomed Maritime College to the Sharp Center on Tuesday, with the hopes of picking up their second Skyline win of the season. They did just that, as they came from behind after losing the first set to defeat the Privateers in four (26-28, 25-12, 25-13, 25-22).
Dominique Otranto was the star of the show for her team. The junior from Massapequa got a chance to play in the back row for the first time this season and rewarded her coach with the decision. Otranto recorded three service aces while adding a pair of digs. She also kept her role in the middle of the net, where she dominated with a game-high five blocks with four kills, good for 12 points. Junior
Alyssa Padgett led the way with 12 kills while freshmen
Anna Nolasco and
Sienna Martin had nine apiece.
Stephanie Rodriguez led all players with 35 assists, as well as four aces.
Gabrielle Mills impressed in the serve receive with 13 digs while
Olivia Dutzer had a robust stat line with seven digs, six kills, two service aces and two assists. Liberos
