Dolphins Face Strong Competition, Fall In Straight Sets To Rams

Farmingdale, NY - It was a tough time for the University of Mount Saint Vincent on Wednesday, as the team struggled in a road Skyline showdown with Farmingdale State College. The Dolphins fell to the Rams in straight sets by the scores of 12-25, 11-25, 16-25, bringing the team's overall record to 7-13 through 20 games. 

Transfer junior Alyssa Padgett led the way for her team with a high of seven kills while adding an assisted block and a service ace. Her 8.5 points were also a Dolphins-best against Farmingdale. 

Freshman Stephanie Rodriguez assisted on 15 of the team's 18 kills. She also added seven digs and a pair of kills to her stat line. Fellow freshman Anna Nolasco added four kills of her own to go along with six digs. 

Olivia Dutzer had a team-best 11 digs, the lone Dolphin to reach double digits in that category. Liberos Jessica Broderick and Carly Snyder combined for 11 of their own. 

UMSV will try to return to the win column in a tough home contest against top-seeded Manhattanville.
