Dolphins Dominate Privateers In 10 Goal Victory

Throggs Neck, NY - The Dolphins dominated on the offensive end of the field while simultaneously remaining undefeated in Skyline play.

The University of Mount Saint Vincent's women's soccer team improved their conference record to 3-0-1 this season on the road against Maritime College on Friday evening. The Dolphins exploded for 10 goals while leading the way on both ends of the field.

It was a total team effort for a UMSV team that saw nine different players score goals against the Privateers. It was Alicia Rodriguez who opened the surge just 28 seconds into the action when she dribbled down the left side, scoring her second goal of the year with freshman Ima Kellerman recording the assist. Kellerman would follow that up with a goal of her own off a header, thanks to a strong crosser from sophomore Lily Ostiguy

Freshman Aubrey Gulbin would record the first two goals of her collegiate career to kick off the second half, as the Scotch Plains, New Jersey native would score both within the first four minutes of action. Jasmine Hewitt and Emily Toepfer would record assists on both shots.

Hewitt, Brittany Boyle, Maddie Halford, Caroline Gomes, Shayla Hassler and Gisselle Soria would add to the scoring totals throughout the second half. Shalyn Pryor, Gabriela Del Castillo, Lena Marin and Mia Del Rosario each added points off assists on the goals.

The goalkeeper trio of Javiera Sanchez, Kaitlyn Grady and Ella De Kruyf shut out Maritime, combining for three saves.

The Dolphins will exit conference play and will look to continue their winning ways against Stevens Tech.
