Riverdale, NY - The Dolphins 2024 campaign came to a close on Long Island.
The University of Mount Saint Vincent's women's volleyball wrapped up their season against Old Westbury on the road last night, with the Dolphins falling to the Panthers in three consecutive sets (22-25, 25-27, 17-25). UMSV finished the season with a 5-17 overall record while going 2-8 against the Skyline Conference.
Melanieann Broderick wrapped up her UMSV career in style. The fifth-year outside hitter racked up 13 kills for the Dolphins, once again a team-high. That number gave her 203 on the season, the best mark on this year's Dolphins squad. Middles
Dominique Otranto and
Sophia Madalakis had six kills apiece, as the duo looks to come together as a formidable force for the next two seasons.
Paige Staley, who stepped in the setter role this season, recorded an even 20 assists in the contest while also leading the way in digs (12) and service aces (two). Hitters
Samantha Rapp and
Olivia Dutzer had a pair of kills each as well.
The Dolphins will look to regroup this offseason and return to their winning ways come 2025.
