Riverdale, NY - On Saturday afternoon, the UMSV men's basketball team had its final and most pivotal recruit commit for the 2024-2025 season. Loukas, a nine year old from the Bronx from Team Impact, fills out UMSV's roster and will play a major role with this year's squad.

Coach James Mooney, who was pleasantly surprised when Loukas and his family made a thunderous entrance into practice on Saturday, said, "We were just about ready to get things going when all of sudden we see Loukas come through the doors and our entire team erupted with excitement! It could not have come at a better time as we are just 2 weeks away from our season opener."

Loukas, who was finally able to carve out some time from his school work to make his official visit, shared the same enthusiasm when he was greeted by the entire team. His shouts of joy echoed throughout the gym and continued for the remainder of practice.

Great timing was also on Loukas' side as it was Media Day for the men's and women's basketball team. Loukas was able to have his headshot taken, as well as a great photo with his brother, Ethan. 

Coach Mooney and his Dolphins have a bright season ahead with Loukas at the helm!
