Riverdale, NY - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's men's volleyball team completed their regular season on Thursday afternoon, taking on St. Joseph's University Long Island in a final tuneup before the Skyline Conference playoffs commence. The Dolphins got a first hand look at their first round opponents, but unfortunately lost to the Golden Eagles in three straight sets (25-16, 25-11, 25-19).
CMSV completes their season with an overall record of 11-14 with an 8-6 mark against conference opponents.
The Dolpins had a tough time matching up against St. Joe's the conference's top team heading into the tournament. Despite this, however, there were positives.
Terence Strehle competed in his final regular season game as a Dolphin and led the team with six kills to go along with three digs. Junior
Kyle Thompson came into the game late and made an impact with five kills of his own.
Pat Ilardi collected nine assists, giving him 233 this season, while
Felix Paulino added nine digs.
The Dolphins will use the next week to gameplan once more for the Golden Eagles. They'll head to Patchogue to take them on a week from today.
