Brooklyn, NY - Fresh off the heels of a one goal victory against Old Westbury, the College of Mount Saint Vincent's men's soccer team set their sights on St. Joseph's University Brooklyn, with the Dolphins looking to make it three straight wins. The defensive battle went sideways for CMSV midway through the second half, with the lone goal of the contest going in the favor of the Bears. The loss put the Dolphins at 3-3-1 overall with the final month of the season underway.
The defense stood strong in the first half, even with the Bears getting their chances. Senior keeper
Joel Luna returned to the net for head coach
Johnny Raj and turned away all three shots that reached him. The offense was limited by a tough Brooklyn defense, with the Dolphins registering just 11 total shots throughout the entirety of the contest.
CMSV did their best in their own zone over the final 45 minutes of play, but it was the Bears who were the aggressors, as the team took 14 shots in the second half alone. The only one to reach the back of the net served as the final blow for a Dolphins team that is now 1-2-1 against the Skyline.
The team will look to regroup on Tuesday when they hit the road to Connecticut to take on the University of Hartford.
