Patchogue, NY- The CMSV men's lacrosse team took to the field again as they took on conference foe Saint Joseph's College- Long Island. The Dolphins struggled offensively as they fell to the Golden Eagles, 21-4.
The Dolphins kept the game close in the early part of the game as they matched the Golden Eagles' first two goals. Freshman Ryan Jean-Pharuns scored first for the Dolphins and senior Matthew Pincus added one of his own to tie the game at two early in the first quarter.
Unfortunately for the Dolphins, they were overpowered as the Golden Eagles scored 12 unanswered goals in the first half to take a 14-2 lead going into the halftime break.
After another Golden Eagle goal, junior Gio Jean-Pharuns put a goal past the St. Joseph's goalie, but another 5-0 run for the Golden Eagles would ultimately put the game out of reach.
Pincus ended the game on a high note as he scored his second goal of the matchup, but the Dolphins fell to the Golden Eagles, 21-4.
The Dolphins will look to finish their season strong as they finish their season with three conference games. The Dolphins return to Marillac Field to take on the United States Merchant Marine Academy Mariners on Wednesday, April 20th.
