Hoboken, NJ - For the first time in nearly a year, the College of Mount Saint Vincent's softball team return to the playing field, as they opened the 2022 regular season ont he road in Hoboken against Stevens Tech. The Dolphins ended up dropping both games of the double header but will look at this as a building experience for the rest of the season.
Matching up against one of the top teams in the region was a tall task for the Dolphins, but there were positives coming out of the two games.
Kelly Murphy,
Sierra Romero,
Janyia Mendoza-Morgan and
Brennah Heck-Rice each made their collegiate debuts for the Dolphins, as the four freshmen were featured in the Dolphins' starting lineup. The day of contests also gave head coach
Miguel Justiniano to tinker with both lineup and defensive positioning, something that will help in the weeks to come.
Next up for the Dolphins will be Hunter College, who they take on tomorrow in the Bronx.
