Farmingdale, NY - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's women's basketball team continued to roll on Wednesday evening, as the Dolphins overpowered Old Westbury on Long Island in yet another Skyline Conference matchup. The 77-53 victory gives CMSV their 14th overall win and 12th among conference competition, with the team now winners in nine of their last 10 contests.
The Dolphins got revenge from the last time out against the Panthers when they came to Riverdale and won by three points. Wednesday night, however, was a different story. CMSV outscored Old Westbury in a major way in both the first and fourth quarters to ensure the win.
Amber Been continued her terrific first season with the Dolphins, as the junior guard led the way with 25 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and five steals. Junior
Kira Villegas had 19 points and six boards of her own while both
Victoria Hanley and
Kayla Hanley finished in double figures.
The next test for the Dolphins come in the form of St. Joe's Brooklyn this coming Saturday.
