Riverdale, NY - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's women's basketball team opened their 2022-23 season on Wednesday night, and did so in impressive fashion when the Dolphins dominated the City College of New York by the score of 66-26. The 40 point victory was the first in head coach
Maria Nardulli's collegiate career.
The game was never in question for the Mount, with CMSV going up 25-12 at halftime. Offensively, the team shot nearly 44% from the floor while holding the Beavers to just 26 total points.

Amber Been picked up where she left off from a season ago, leading the way with 19 points while adding six assists, four boards and a steal. Senior guard
Kira Villegas also finished in double figures with 12 points.
Sophomore
Shania Wolfe-White impressed in her second season with the Dolphins, playing valuable minutes en route to a eight point, seven rebound performance. Freshman
Julia Angeles received the start in her first collegiate game, adding nine points and a pair of rebounds to the stat sheet.
Junior
Melanieann Broderick and freshman Sophia Marcos combined for 12 points off the bench.
The Dolphins, now 1-0 to start the 2022-23 season, will return to action this coming Saturday when they play host to the Pratt Institute with a noon tipoff.
