Farmingdale, NY - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's women's soccer team saw their season end on Wednesday evening when they dropped their semifinal matchup to top-seeded Farmingdale State by the score of 4-0. The final whistle put an end to a terrific season for the Dolphins, who will use 2021 as a building block to turn into a Skyline Conference powerhouse in the very near future.
The contest saw the Rams put two in during the first half and another pair in the second. But the final score is something the program is looking past knowing what they have to look forward to next season and beyond.
Despite graduating key members of the team, the Dolphins will see midfielder
Emily McCarthy return, who emerged this season as one of the premiere players in the conference. Classmate
Kora-Lynn McCullough cemented herself in net once again with another strong campaign, while first year players
Amanda Cotroneo,
Alicia Rodriguez,
Riley Leedholm and
Isabella Naranjo emerged as stalwarts for
Stuart Dick and his program.
The depth is equally as important.
Hannah Eschmann,
Naomi Juvera,
Caitlin May,
Lilli Marin and
Lena Marin provided valuable minutes for the Dolphins and will be important pieces moving forward.
There is a lot to look forward to with the women's soccer program. Make sure to stay tuned to CMSVAthletics.com for all updates as the team heads into their offseason.
