Farmingdale, NY - The Dolphins faced a tall task in facing Farmingdale State College on the road and unfortunately couldn't come through with the victory, as CMSV fell to the Rams in three straight sets. The Dolphins fell to a 1-3 record against conference competition, but their overall record remains above .500 (8-7).
The Dolphins battled valiantly, including taking the Rams to extra points in the final set (27-25). Farmingdale defeated CMSV 25-21 in set one and 25-18 in set two.
Elizabeth Flores led the charge for the Dolphins offensively, as her 10 kills paced the team. Madison Gale continued her terrific season as a setter, with her 17 assists on Monday night giving her 347 on the year. Samantha Schroeder had a strong performance on both ends of the game with five kills and 14 digs, while senior Rianna Rivera added five kills, three blocks and an ace.
Skyline Conference play on the road rolls on later this week, when the Dolphins travel to Purchase College to take on the Panthers. The Wednesday night matchup is set for a 7:00 PM start time.
