Riverdale, NY - The Mount's women's volleyball team played host to Old Westbury with the hopes to fine to things as Skyline Conference playoffs near. The Dolphins did just that, sweeping the Panthers in three straight sets to win their 13th game of 2021. The team is also 6-4 against conference competition.
The Dolphins' key players showed out early and often against Old Westbury on Wednesday night. Senior standout
Madison Gale was all over the court, as she recorded 12 assists and five kills while adding two blocks for good measure. Classmate
Samantha Schroeder was a force on both sides of the ball, collecting a team-high eight kills, six digs and three aces.
Sophomore
Melanieann Broderick aided the offense with six kills herself while junior
Brianna Ayuso helped set her teammates in a big way. Sophomores
Elizabeth Flores and
Isabella Garcia combined for 18 digs while captain
Rianna Rivera was all over the floor making plays for her team.
