Valhalla, NY – The Men's Soccer team traveled to nearby Valhalla High school to take on Penn-State Behrend in a non-conference matchup. The men were looking to secure their first victory of the season but fell short of doing so. The final score did not indicate how closely contested the match was.
Penn-State Behrend who is currently undefeated on the season had their hands full with the young Dolphins squad. CMSV would battle all night and make Penn-State earn every goal they scored. Penn-State would score two goals in each period and win the match 4-0. The Dolphins offense threatened throughout but the Penn-State goalkeeper made six saves on the day to earn his clean sheet. The Dolphins continue to grow as a team facing extremely tough non-conference opponents.
The Men will have the weekend off before traveling to New Jersey on Monday to take on the College of Saint Elizabeth. CMSV can taste their first win and will be firing on all cylinders to do so on Monday afternoon.
