Bronx, NY- The softball team hosted Yeshiva University today at Fordham university for the conference doubleheader. The women were looking to continue their conference success after the sweep of Old Westbury. That is just what the Dolphins did as they dominated both games. The first contest they won 11–1 and game number two they got the win 14-1.
The Dolphins dominated from the very first inning as they quickly opened up a 4-0 lead after one. For CMSV Lakisha Camacho had two RBI in the inning, Alex Moley and Taylor Wittick also added an RBI. From here the Dolphins continues their good play. On the defensive end it was Ashley Faccilonga who shined for the Dolphins pitching 3.1 innings and striking out nine. CMSV would continue to pour it on and come out with the victory. Camacho finished with six RBI for the Dolphins while Moley added two. CMSV would win 11-1
Game number two started the same was as the first except this time they erupted for an 8-0 lead after the first inning. Katie Moos and Taylor Milata would each register two RBI in the first. The Dolphins got another great outing from their pitchers as Kimberly Medina and Kayla Pagano combined for six strikeouts and only allowed three hits. For CMSV Camacho added to her great afternoon with two more RBI. Abigail Laurendeau, Sophia Herrera, Alanna Alioto-Reyes, Deanna Nardi and Moley would all add a single RBI in game number two. CMSV would come away with the 14-1 victory.
CMSV has one day to prepare for conferences best Mount Saint Mary. The Dolphins will look to continue their stellar conference play. CMSV now sits at an overall record of 9-16 and a Skyline Conference record of 6-2.
