Bronxville, NY - With Skyline play in full swing, the College of Mount Saint Vincent's men's volleyball team took a quick trip to Bronxville, New York to compete in a conference tri-match against Sarah Lawrence College and St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn. Unfortunately for the Dolphins, bad luck struck, as they dropped their first contest to the Bears while having to forfeit their second game against the Gryphons.
While CMSV dropped three straight sets to St. Joe's Brooklyn, it wasn't for a lack of effort, as each set was a close contest. In what has become a theme all season long,
Jose Estrella was the Dolphins' best offensive player on Sunday afternoon when he registered a team-high eight kills, giving him a total of 87 on the season. Junior
Brendan Ryan also had a strong match against the Bears, as he compiled six kills of his own while recording three aces.
Padelis Astrinidis impressed with 10 assists while he, Estrella and
Christian Santiago all led the Dolphins with two blocks apiece.
Tim Donnelly recorded a team-best 10 digs while Astrinidis and
Dorian Robinson combined for 14.
CMSV will look to finally face off against Sarah Lawrence when they host their local foes on April 2 at 7 PM.
