Women's Basketball Cruises To Victory Over Yeshiva

Box Score New York, NY - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's women's basketball team hit the road for the second time this season, opening Skyline Conference play against Yeshiva University on Saturday evening. The Dolphins were looking to continue their strong play of late and did just that, winning by the score of 64-45, earning head coach Phil Stern his 301st win in the process. The Dolphins are now 3-1 on the year, including a 1-0 mark within the conference.

The Dolphins opened up the first quarter in impressive fashion when they outscored the Maccabees 16-4 while forcing Yeshiva to shoot just 14% from the floor. The second half saw the Dolphins take a step back, as they allowed Yeshiva to make half of their three point attempts to cut CMSV's lead to nine going into halftime.

From there, it was all Dolphins, as the team dominated on both sides of the ball to ensure the double digit victory. DarNeisha Brice continued her strong start to the season as she led all players with 26 points while converting 10 of her 20 shot attempts. Both Aria Rheams and Ashley Martin dominated on the boards, grabbing 15 and 14 rebounds apiece. Gabriela Goldman added 10 points of her own while also pacing her team with five assists.

The Dolphins will continue their play against Conference competition when they head to Brooklyn to take on the Bears of St. Joseph's College on November 26. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
