Riverdale, NY – The Mount Saint Vincent women's volleyball team took their home court on Thursday night looking to grow their winning streak to four. After a dominating performance, the Dolphins did just that, winning in straight sets over cross town rival Maritime. (25-17, 25-16, 25-18)
CMSV came out firing on all cylinders Thursday evening and did not let off the gas pedal through all three sets. For the Dolphins, it was another all-around team effort as they received contributions from all over their roster. No set was ever in doubt throughout the night as the Dolphins played error free volleyball for the entirety of the match. On the offensive end,
Samantha Schroeder led the way as she registered eight kills.
Lindsay DeBoer and
Tara Maloney would be right behind her with six kills each. DeBoer also added 4 blocks on the evening as well as four service aces.
Sara Pocas would have her best game to date as the sophomore matched DeBoer with four aces of her own.
CMSV now sits at an overall record of 10-5 and a flawless Skyline Conference record of 4-0. The Dolphins will now have their toughest test of the season thus far as they travel to USMMA on Monday evening as the top two teams in the conference face off.
