Dolphins Struggle On Road Against Rams

Box Score Farmingdale, NY - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's women's soccer team traveled to Long Island on Tuesday evening with the hopes of extended their conference winning streak to two games after their win over St Joseph's College-Brooklyn on Saturday. Unfortunately, the Dolphins found themselves in a hole early against Farmingdale State and failed to climb out of it, ultimately falling to the Rams by the score of 3-1. The Dolphins are now 5-7-1 on the season and 2-5 against Skyline foes, good for eighth in the conference standings.

The Rams took an early lead when they scored in the 18th minute of play and continued their offensive success when they buried another shot past goaltender Kora-Lynn McCullough, which gave their team the two goal edge going into halftime. The Rams were able to convert one more shot attempt in the second half before senior Jenna McDonnell scored her second goal of the year to make it a 3-1 game. The offensive success for the Dolphins was too little, too late as time expired before being able to tie things up.

Sophomore standout Cristina Britton led the way with two total shots on Tuesday while McCullough collected a season high 15 saves in the contest.

The Dolphins will look to return to the win column on Saturday when they head back to Long Island to take on the Golden Eagles of St. Joseph's College.
