Dolphins Struggle In Skyline Home Opener Against USMMA

How It Happened 

1st Set: The Dolphins first set woes continued, as they lost 25-13 after digging themselves an early hole. USMMA controlled the entirety of the set, with the Mariners jumping out to 7-0 lead and never looking back. 

2nd Set: The Dolphins came to life in the second set, playing much stronger as a team. Despite the Dolphins playing a better set than the first, the Mariners held strong and had an answer for every one of the Dolphins runs. They took the second set 25-18. 

3rd Set: The third set looked much like the first two. Early on, it was a back and fourth affair with both teams firing on all cylinders. As the set went on, CMSV had a few mistakes that USMMA capitalized on which propelled them to a 25-19 set and match victory.

  • The Dolphins look to bounce back in conference play as they head to Old Westbury for a conference Tri-Match on September 30. CMSV will face off against the Old Westbury Panthers and the Mount Saint Mary Knights.
