Dolphins Suffer Loss At The Hands Of Knights

  • Records: College of Mount Saint Vincent (2-5-1, Skyline 1-1), Mount Saint Mary College (7-4-1, Skyline 3-0)

How It Happened
  • Mount St. Mary struck first in the middle of the first half on a loose ball in the box. This gave the Knights a 1-0 led with 38 minutes remaining in the first half.
  • The Dolphins had a lot of opportunities following the Knights' opening goal but could not capitalize. Christina Britton's strong midfield play led the charge. The Knights then broke through on a fast-break and buried their second goal of the evening with 13 minutes remaining in the first half.
  • The second half was full of great defensive play from both teams. The Dolphins' defense was led by freshmen Lauren Vetoulis, who was flying all over the field making play after play. The Dolphins had one lapse in the second half when the Knights snuck in their third and final goal of the evening with seven minutes remaining in the game.
  • Meaghan Cleary played an exceptional game in net for Dolphins, making multiple huge saves to keep her team in the game. The junior ended the game with six saves.

What's Next?
  • The Dolphins will take a short trip to Throggs Neck to take on Maritime in the battle of the Bronx. CMSV will look to bounce back and improve their Skyline record to 2-1. They're currently sporting an overall record of 2-5-1.
